Mahyar’s research is mostly focused on simulation of phase transformation kinetics via Level-Set method. He has developed a new level-set framework for simulation of anisotropic phase evolution through faceted growth. He is also one of the team members in Northwestern Materials Research Science and Engineering Center (MRSEC), working on Indium Oxide Thin film crystallization.
